   I’m so very sorry. I wish I had the words to say that would make things better. I thought of you this week as I remembered a book my aunt made “required reading” when my grandmother was dying. It’s called Final Gifts by Maggie Callanan.

    Remember that one day, there will be no eyes to gaze into…those eyes still think and feel even if the body doesn’t…he KNOWS that you hurt for him…look into those eyes with all the love you have, for he WILL remember that (and so will you)…I would give anything to be able to look into my mother’s eyes again…be strong and be there…
