Um, I didn’t finish the work I needed to today.

My dog spilled my yogurt shake that I didn’t finish because I was distracted online and left it without a cover on the counter.

My 2 year old just ate a candy cane before dinner and my 5 year old is watching the Grinch for the millionth time.

That’s how I find time to blog;)

To survive the never-done to-do list, it’s imperative to acknowledge there is a difference between “urgent” and “important”. Urgent does not always mean important, and in life, you should only do what’s important.

Oh, and according to my husband, I “have a helluva payroll for a stay-at-home-mom.” Dude, I have an undergraduate degree in biology. It’s not like they taught me about unclogging a main in Anatomy 101, so pay the bills and pipe down. (No pun intended.)

P.S. Do your holiday shopping online.

Real life comes first. Take care of your corporeal loved ones and have faith that those of us out here in mystical blogland will keep you on our own readers so that we can have a virtual eye on you. It’s really kind of creepy if you think about it. We know when you’ve been sleeping, we know when you’re awake.

But really, people will be here when you come back, but take the time to decompress over there in LeoneLand.

How do we do it? Just a few thoughts I came up with while assessing my own life and habits (or lack thereof):
1. Bills get paid late
2. Laundry accumulates to unmanageable proportions.
3. Other household chores sit unfinished.
4. In regards to blogging, apparently the “quantity, not quality” theory works for me.

Take care of you and your family. We’ll “both” be here waiting.

I still come back here every day until you find some time to write. If it means I hear nothing until 2008, I will understand.

But please just let us know that you are not trapped under the Christmas tree once in awhile. I’d hate to know you perished that way!
