I keep all of mine in Word in one file, document mapped. I have copies of each chapter in their own file. I don't have a laptop, so I do all my notes in a writing journal. It gets a little messy the more I write. I guess you could say I'm in need of a system myself. I’m not a real writer, so I don’t think I’d be of any help. It's not dissimilar to MSN except that you can upload files to your "workspace" and share them between a variety of computers without having to carry them around on a flash drive or what have you.
