Ingrid stole my personal favorite, but there is the somewhat old fashioned "paradigm shift" to add to the list. Also, one of the quotes from a nurse at the dinner the night before my graduation was something about "the iron fist of cost containment." My father and I still use the phrase whenever we talk about health care and money.

Thinking "outside the box." That one drives me nuts!

Another least favorite: referring to a weak area as an "area of opportunity"

I think all "meetings" are just an excuse for management to listen to the sound of their own voice. My bosses favorite phrase (he's the sales manager) is "And now my reign of terror begins!"

I'm delighted you ran those phrases up the flagpole so that I could salute them, you were really pushing the envelope, by demonstrating your core competences mind you its always easy to pick the low hanging fruit...

Being in sales, I love "We have to obliterate the competition", or "This is war". Seems they have the middle east and downtown LA a little mixed up
